Goodwill of the Finger Lakes is opening a store in April in the former Wegmans location on Dewey Avenue in Greece, the organization announced Wednesday.

The store will be the 11th in the Rochester area, noted Gidget Hopf, president and CEO of Goodwill of the Finger Lakes.

“With each new store, we generate economic opportunities and hope for people to overcome barriers to independence," Hopf said. "We also revitalize no longer used retail spaces like the new store location. It is truly amazing what the power of work can do.”

The new store will create 40 full- and part-time jobs.
