'The Golf Tee Show' to conduct Rick Woodson tribute

Rochester Business Journal
April 9, 2013

“The Golf Tee Show” will return to the radio for one day Sunday, in honor of the late Rick Woodson and his passion for the Masters Tournament, which begins this week.

Terry Quinn and Darlene Sommer will be back as co-hosts of Woodson’s show from 9 to 11 a.m. on WHTK-AM 1280.

The tribute program will provide an opportunity to contribute to the Rick Woodson Scholarship at SUNY College at Brockport, where Woodson was an adjunct professor for 11 years.

WHTK is donating the air time, and SUNY Brockport students will staff phones to take donations.

Contributions also can be mailed to the Brockport Foundation, 350 New Campus Drive, Brockport, N.Y. 14420, with checks payable to the Brockport Foundation in Memory of Rick Woodson.

Woodson was a columnist at the Rochester Business Journal until his death last month due to pulmonary fibrosis. Read more about his life and career.
