The Buffalo Bills will play one game per regular season in Toronto in each of the next five seasons, and a pre-season game there in 2015, as part of a renewed agreement with Rogers Media Inc., officials announced Tuesday.

The deal extends a partnership between the National Football League team and the subsidiary of stadium owner Rogers Communications Inc. through 2017.

The Bills have played five regular-season games and three pre-season games at Rogers Centre since 2008.

“The Bills’ partnership with Rogers Media is key to our franchise’s regionalization plan, and we are excited to continue it for years to come,” Bills president and CEO Russell Brandon said in a statement.

Brandon, a graduate of St. John Fisher College, calls the Toronto and southern Ontario market crucial to the Bills’ long-term future in Buffalo.

The games to be played in Toronto, including for the coming season, are determined by the NFL. The 2013 schedules are scheduled to be announced in April.

Ticket prices for this year’s Toronto game have not been announced, but will be comparable to those of last season, officials said.
