The International Joint Commission has scheduled public hearings for Tuesday in Rochester and in Wayne County to discuss its proposal for managing water levels and flows in Lake Ontario and the St. Lawrence River.

The hearing in Rochester is slated for 2 to 4 p.m. in the Hyatt Regency Rochester ballroom on East Main Street.

A hearing also is scheduled for Williamson Central High School at 5891 Route 21 from 6 to 9 p.m.

The public can provide oral comments by registering to speak prior to the events, said Rep. Louise Slaughter, D-Perinton.

Other hearings are scheduled for 6 p.m. Sunday in Lockport, Niagara County, and in Alexandria Bay, Jefferson County, at 6 p.m. Wednesday.
