Finger Lakes Health has named William Garrity as vice president of long term care. He replaces Howard Kates, who is slated to retire March 31.

Garrity has been administrator of Huntington Living Center in Waterloo since July 2005. He has more than 20 years of long-term care administration experience.

Kates, who was vice president role for 14 years, served more than 19 years with Finger Lakes Health. He continues in that position through Jan. 31, after which he will help with the transition until his retirement.

“We thank Howard for his assistance in transitioning his role to his successor,” said Jim Hiserodt, senior vice president of operations for Finger Lakes Health. “Best wishes to him for a well-deserved retirement. We look forward to working with Bill and know he will get all the support needed.”
