Perinton-based Bonadio & Co. LLP is the nation’s second-best large accounting firm to work for. Rochester-based Insero & Co. CPAs P.C. also is among 100 companies listed, a 2012 industry ranking shows.

Bonadio is second among firms with more than 250 employees, a list compiled by Accounting Today and Best Companies Group.

Kaufman, Rossin & Co. in Miami is first among large firms. Kearney & Co. of Alexandria, Va., is third.

The list was announced in September. The top-ranked companies were unveiled last month in Boca Raton, Fla.

“One of our top priorities at the Bonadio Group is to be an employer of choice, providing an environment that is meaningful to all of our employees,” CEO and Managing Partner Thomas Bonadio said in a statement. “We have been successful over our tenure because we believe in investing in our employees.”

Insero & Co. is included among midsize firms on the alphabetical list.
