Care facilities agree to explore affiliation

Rochester Business Journal

Episcopal SeniorLife Communities and Seniorsfirst Communities & Services have entered a formal agreement to explore an affiliation, drafting a memorandum of understanding that has been approved by the boards of directors from both organizations.

The agreement was announced Friday, outlining an agreement under which Episcopal SeniorLife would oversee operations of Valley Manor senior-living community starting Jan. 1. Valley Manor offers independent apartment homes, assisted living and an adult day program.

The organizations will engage in strategic planning discussions over the next 18 months to explore restructuring options that benefit both agencies, officials from both groups said.

Seniorsfirst is the dba of Presbyterian Homes & Services of Genesee Valley Inc.
