October 11, 2013

RochesterWorks Inc., Monroe County’s largest employment and training initiative, temporarily has closed its offices because of the federal government shutdown, organization officials said Friday.

RochesterWorks assists businesses with job recruitment, assessment, placement and training, and connects them to federally funded employment and training programs in the county.

Its downtown career center is on North Goodman Street. Its Department of Labor career center is on Waring Road.
