Kodak to lay off 61 workers by September

Rochester Business Journal
June 7, 2013

Eastman Kodak Co. plans to lay off 61 more employees before Labor Day.

The company filed a Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification Act with the New York State Labor Department on Thursday. The layoffs will take place at Eastman Business Park on Lake Avenue and are expected to take place by Aug. 28, the filing states.

In April, Kodak filed a bankruptcy reorganization plan indicating it expects to emerge from Chapter 11 in the third quarter. The company expects the U.S. Bankruptcy Court of the Southern District of New York to schedule a hearing in mid-June to consider the proposed plan.
