Fifteen chosen in recognition of financial execs

Twelve financial executives from the business and non-profit sectors have been selected as finalists for the 2013 Financial Executive of the Year Award, which recognizes contributions to their organizations and the community during the past year. Three others have been chosen as honorees in separate categories.
 
The awards luncheon, co-presented by the local chapter of Financial Executives International and the Rochester Business Journal, is slated for May 29 at the Hyatt Regency Rochester. Dana Mehnert of Harris RF Communications is to deliver the keynote address.
 
The finalists are:

Small companies
Richard Klein, CFO, Continental Service Group Inc., dba ConServe; Robert Lelio, CFO, Caldwell Manufacturing Co.; and Mark Williams, vice president of finance, DeCarolis Truck Rental Inc. and Monroe School Transportation Inc.

Large companies
Cammie Orengo, vice president of finance and division CFO, GCS and 3Di divisions, L-3 Communications Corp.; David Vaden, vice president, CFO and treasurer, Bryant & Stratton College; and John Vetere, president, LiDestri Foods Inc.

Small non-profits
Susan Barnes, CFO, Center for Governmental Research Inc.; Patricia Dell, CFO, the Norman Howard School; and Suzanne O'Connor, managing director, finance and administration, High Tech Rochester Inc.

Large non-profits
Francine Brokaw, vice president of finance, Rochester Broadway Theatre League Inc.; Jeanine Frenz, CFO, Medical Motor Service of Rochester and Monroe County Inc.; and Ellen Wozniak, CFO, Reliant Community Federal Credit Union.

Rising Star honoree
Chris Martusewicz, vice president of finance, Toshiba Business Solutions.

Lifetime Achievement honorees
Michael Goonan, vice president and CFO, University of Rochester Medical Center; and Brian Lambert, CFO, Wright Wisner Distributing Corp.
 
The finalists will be profiled in the May 17 edition of the Rochester Business Journal.
