Harris Corp.’s RF Communications division in Rochester has received roughly $11 million in delivery orders to provide international partners of the U.S. government with a range of its tactical radio systems.

The radios will be deployed as part of a U.S. government program for counter-narcotics and other illicit activity.

The company is providing secure personal and combat net radios, as well as its high frequency and multiband radios.

"Harris Falcon radios provide an international standard for interoperable communications that will enhance coordination and cooperation between U.S. forces and their partners,’’ said Brendan O’Connell, president of RF Communications’ international business, in a statement.

RF Communications has some 2,200 workers.
