Rochester-area insurance agencies James S. Sullivan Agency Inc. and Advanced Auto Insurance Agency Inc. have been acquired by California-based distribution company Confie Seguros Insurance Services.

In addition, Confie Seguros has acquired Family Insurance, a car insurance firm in Corpus Christi, Texas.

The staffs and locations of the three agencies will not change, Confie Seguros said last week.

The Sullivan Agency, with 41 employees, is based in Wayland, Steuben County, with 14 locations in the Rochester market and with two others in Central New York.

Advanced Auto Insurance is on Long Pond Road in Greece, with a second office on Dewey Avenue in Rochester.

“By adding James S. Sullivan Agency and Advanced Auto Insurance to our existing New York operations, we now have over 47 locations and 140 employees in New York to service customers and place business with our insurance carrier partners,” Confie Seguros co-founder and CEO Joseph Waked said in a statement.

Founded in 2008, Confie Seguros is based in Huntington Beach, Calif., with operations in 17 states. Its focus is on Hispanic consumers.

It is a portfolio company of private-equity firm Abry Partners LLC in Boston.
