When you think of business growth in the Greater Rochester Area, who are the Icons who have moved their business and our region forward, creating a thriving economy, growing jobs and making a difference in the community?


The ICON Honors awards will recognize Greater Rochester Area business leaders over the age of 60 for their notable success and demonstration of strong leadership both within and outside of their chosen field. Winners will be honored during an awards celebration in December and will be profiled in an event publication inserted in Rochester Business Journal in December. Winners will be announced in November.

Eligibility Requirements: Must have a long-standing commitment to the Greater Rochester Area business community.  Must have a sustained commitment to community service and mentoring.  Must be 60 years old or more to qualify. Nominees may currently be in the workforce or retired.   Must hold or have held a senior management-level position with significant authority in decision-making for their organization.

Nomination Process: In order to be eligible for consideration, every candidate must have submitted a completed application. The nomination form can be bypassed in lieu of a completed application form. Supporting materials, such as letters of recommendation and testimonials, can be submitted to events@rbj.net.
