Pacillo's Fitness Gear to open in Henrietta

A longtime Buffalo fitness retailer is expanding into Rochester.

Pacillo’s Fitness Gear, based in Amherst, will open its first Rochester location on Monday, officials said.  The store, which features treadmills and elliptical machines to weight equipment and boxing gear, will be located in a 6,000-square-foot facility on Hylan Drive in Henrietta.

Pacillo’s opened its doors in 1976 on Hertel Avenue in Buffalo. The company recently moved to Sheridan Drive in Amherst. General manager Mike Pacillo said the move into Rochester was a long time coming.

“This expansion has long been in the works and we’re really excited to finally be here,” he said. “We really exist for everyone from the most dedicated fitness enthusiasts to any beginner. There isn’t another retailer that carries the type and variety of equipment that we stock.”
