Rochester Business Journal
October 4, 2013

Valeant Pharmaceuticals International Inc. has cut 24 workers Bausch & Lomb Inc. in its customer service department, a company spokesman confirmed Friday.

The new owner of Bausch & Lomb had said in August it would cut 302 workers from the Bausch & Lomb manufacturing plant on North Goodman Street and 106 at Bausch & Lomb headquarters downtown.

The cuts were expected to begin this fall and continue until the end of the year, a filing the Canadian firm filed with the state Department of Labor showed.

Valeant closed in August on its $8.7 billion acquisition of Bausch & Lomb.
