Plans for North Shore project in Canandaigua unveiled

Morgan-LeChase Development LLC on Thursday night unveiled plans for North Shore, a multiuse development project on the north side of Lake Shore Drive in Canandaigua.

The project, which is being developed on a 21-acre parcel across from Kershaw Park, is to include roughly 450 one-, two- and three-bedroom lake view residences, as well as retail spaces and designed outdoor environments.

The plans were shown at the Canandaigua City Council’s Planned United Development Committee meeting.

In May, Morgan Management LLC and LeChase Construction Services LLC announced the joint venture, which would provide integrated planning, design, development, construction and management services.

Perinton-based Hanlon Architects P.C. was selected as the project architect. The firm Hanlon has worked on projects in the Canandaigua area, including the re-development of Kershaw Park and improvements to Canandaigua’s Main Street corridor.

Owner David Hanlon is a Canandaigua resident and has shown a personal commitment to enhance the historical character, integrity and natural beauty of this area through his work, said Morgan-LeChase Development partners, William Goodrich and Robert Morgan, in a joint statement.

Over the next few months, Morgan-LeChase said it will work with the city of Canandaigua to finalize the plans and secure the necessary approvals and funding to move forward with the project.
