The Pike Co. Inc. is among four finalists to build a $27 million passenger train station in Rochester, with three area firms on its project team, officials announced Monday. Other finalists include area firms on their teams as well.
The finalists can submit proposals, which will be reviewed prior to selection of the winning bid, officials said.
Funding includes $15 million from the Federal Railroad Administration’s Transportation Investment Generating Economic Recovery III program, $7.5 million from the New York State Department of Transportation and $500,000 from the city of Rochester.
Pike lists five companies on its project team, including LaBella Associates P.C. in Rochester and the Popli Design Group in Penfield. The other team members are Kisan Engineering Co. P.C. from Buffalo, M&N Engineering and Diving Services Inc. of Bel Air, Md., and Atlantic Testing Laboratories Inc. in Brighton.
The other finalists are Ecco III Enterprises Inc. in New York City, LP Ciminelli Inc. in Buffalo and Welliver McGuire Inc. in Montour Falls in the Southern Tier.
Atlantic Testing is on the teams of all four finalists.
Rochester’s Passero Associates P.C., Ravi Engineering & Land Surveying P.C. in Perinton and Fisher Associates P.E. L.S. P.C. are among six members of the Ciminelli team.
The C&S Cos. in Rochester is on the Ecco III team.
Ravi, C.P. Ward Inc. in Scottsville, Chaintreuil Jensen Stark Architects LLP in Rochester, and KCI Engineering of New York P.C. in Rochester are on the Welliver McGuire team.
