Honorees selected for 2013 Wealth of Health awards

Fifteen local employers have been selected to receive 2013 Wealth of Health Awards in recognition of their efforts to encourage and support wellness among employees.
 
The Wealth of Health Awards program honors companies whose programs and policies foster a healthy workplace. Now in its seventh year, the program is co-sponsored by Excellus BlueCross BlueShield and the Rochester Business Journal.
 
Honorees were judged on the creativity of their initiatives, active participation, ability to effect measurable improvements, sustainability and program outcomes.
 
The award luncheon is scheduled for noon to 1:30 p.m. June 12 at the Hyatt Regency Rochester.
 
Twelve of the employers slated to receive awards are grouped into four categories by size. And this year for the first time, three past honorees are recognized in a new category for their continuing efforts.
1-199 employees

  • Butler/Till
  • SMP, Systems Management Planning Inc.
  • Vnomics Corp.

200-499 employees

  • Optimation
  • GE MDS LLC
  • Arc of Yates

500-1,999 employees

  • Canandaigua City School District
  • ABVI-Goodwill
  • Finger Lakes Municipal Health Insurance Trust

2,000 or more employees

  • CooperVision
  • Guardian Industries Corp.
  • Bausch & Lomb

Past honorees

  • University of Rochester
  • Lawley Insurance
  • ESL Federal Credit Union
