ClearCove Systems founder receives local award

Terry Wright, founder and chief technology officer of Victor-based ClearCove Systems Inc., is Rochester’s 2017 Distinguished Inventor of the Year, presented by the Rochester Intellectual Property Association.

inventor14Wright beat out 12 other nominees for the honor. He is the founder and chief technology officer for ClearCove Systems, a wastewater treatment and renewable energy firm.

Tom Battley, executive director of New York Photonics, was the keynote speaker of the event. It was held at Monroe Golf Club in Pittsford.

The creation of the Distinguished Inventor of the Year Award was dates back to 1976.
