Genesee Media Corp. has launched Business 1310, a business/financial radio station in Western New York.
On weekdays, Business 1310 provides local news updates regarding happenings in the Rochester and New York state business community, as well as worldwide news from sources such as Bloomberg, MarketWatch and NBC.
The station’s programming is designed to appeal to the small-business owner, corporate executive, financial professional and business entrepreneur, officials said.
“The Rochester region is one of Upstate New York’s fastest growing economies, and we wanted to focus a radio offering to serve the business community,” said Genesee Media Corp. President Brian McGlynn, in a statement.
Business 1310 is in beta mode for the next several months as systems are fine tuned. The radio station is available in the Rochester Region at 1590 AM in the Western suburbs from a Brockport transmission site and 1310 AM in the Eastern Region from a Canandaigua transmission site.
Business 1310 is also available online through desktop computers, and mobile devices at Business1310.com and Apple’s iTunes.
