Area podiatrist to lead state podiatric chapter

A podiatrist with practices in Rochester and Gates has been named president of the New York State Podiatric Medical Association.

Robert Russo DPM has served the statewide organization as a trustee for 11 years. He also is past-president of the Monroe County Division of the state association and director of the Foundation for Podiatric Medicine.

Russo graduated from St. John Fisher College before attending the New York College of Podiatric Medicine in New York City, where he received his degree.

His practice, Podiatry Associates of Rochester LLP, has offices in Rochester and in Gates. Russo is also a staff podiatrist at Unity Hospital and Rochester General Hospital.

Established in 1895, the state association has more than 1,200 members across 13 divisions  and is the largest statewide component of the American Podiatric Medical Association.
