AT&T Wireless Inc. users who live or work in Batavia or who are attending events near Darien Lake will have better cellphone reception this summer.

AT&T announced it has completed expansion of its high-speed 4G LTE network to portions of the Batavia area, Darien Lakes State Park and other surrounding areas. The expansion is part of AT&T rollout across New York State that has already hit most of Rochester, Buffalo and other areas including Syracuse, Auburn, Ithaca and Binghamton.

“We continue to see demand for mobile Internet skyrocket, and our 4G LTE network now available in areas of Batavia responds to what customers want from their mobile experience — more, faster, on the best devices," said Marissa Shorenstein, president of AT&T New York, in a statement.
