LiDestri Foods Inc. has bought more land in the Eastman Business Park.

The private-label and contract manufacturer of food products has closed on eight properties totaling 180 acres at the park for $1.4 million, filings with the Monroe County Clerk show.

In addition to its Fairport headquarters, LiDestri already operates facilities at Eastman Business Park, including one that houses its research and development-focused Innovation Center, with a production line for smaller run sizes and options for producing specialty- and boutique-style brands, plus a line of high-proof spirits.

The facility also serves as a distribution point for many products.

Last year, the business announced a plan to spend $11 million purchasing and converting a 398,000-square-foot building into warehouse space, also at the Eastman Business Park, adding 70 jobs there over three years.

Representatives from LiDestri were not immediately available for comment Thursday afternoon to discuss plans for the property.

The company boasts some 1,000 employees and annual sales of more than $500 million. Locally, LiDestri employs roughly 620 workers.

The company turns out more 2 two million jars of sauces, dips and beverages daily. Proprietary brands include Francesco Rinaldi and Santa Fe Chili Co., while Newman's Own Brand is one of the private-label lines it produces.
