There now is a mobile application for Pictometry International Corp. customers that have desired an optimal way of viewing the company’s high-resolution aerial oblique images.

Henrietta-based Pictometry announced this week customers now have access to the company’s vast image library from an iPad using Pictometry Connect Mobile.

The app mobilizes Pictometry’s advanced visual data used by government agencies, utilities companies and insurance agencies for analysis, integration and reporting.

“We are now able to supply imagery to our customers who on the go, giving them the freedom to easily view and reference Pictometry imagery away from their desktop computers,” said Jim Smyth, chief marketing officer for Pictometry, in a statement.

The app is available for free download on iTunes and can be accessed by Pictometry clients. Customers  also can access to Pictometry data with an iPhone or Android tablet using a web version of the application.
