City Dining Cards, a Buffalo-based marketing firm, tonight will launch its Rochester deck of discount cards for use at local restaurants.

The event is 7 to 9 p.m. at Joe Bean Coffee Roasters on University Avenue. It will include free Roc Brewing Co. beer, snacks, coffee and coffee-brewing demonstrations, officials said.

The $20 package contains 50 dining cards, each of which is good for $10 off on purchases at Rochester eateries.

Similar packages are available for Buffalo, Syracuse, Albany and five other cities in the northeast United States.

City Dining Cards was founded in 2010.
