The shuttered JPMorgan Chase & Co. mortgage call center in Orleans County will become the new headquarters for Claims Recovery Financial Services LLC, which has hired 55 of the displaced employees and wants to increase its workforce by another 150, officials announced Monday.

Some 598 CRFS employees at current sites in Albion and Medina will be consolidated at the former JPMorgan location on East Avenue in Albion, officials said during a news conference.

An additional 70 are employed by the claims-management processing firm in San Antonio. CRFS is the largest private-sector employer in Orleans County, officials said.

The company hopes to relocate its Albion and Medina employees to the 60,000-square-foot East Avenue building by March.

“One of the many benefits of the Chase complex is that it’s a state-of-the-art, turn-key facility, which will allow CRFS to ramp up quickly and fast-track our much-needed expansion,” founder and CEO Jodi Gaines said.

The company has agreed to a long-term lease of the building, recently acquired by Roger Hungerford, CEO of Talis Equity LLC in Medina.

The Empire State Development Corp. is offering CRFS $872,500 in incentives to help with the move and job creation, including $472,500 in tax credits and a capital grant of $400,000.

Orleans County has approved a $250,000 low-interest loan to pay for new equipment, and the Orleans Economic Development Agency is providing sales-tax abatements for related equipment purchases.

JPMorgan in June announced its intention to close the call center, which employed 413 at the time. The company has relocated 110 Albion employees to offices in Rochester, officials said.
