Nazareth College of Rochester has a new vice president for enrollment management, one who comes to the college with 20 years of experience in the recruitment realm.
The college announced Thursday Ian Mortimer has been named to the position starting in mid-December. He comes from Champlain College in Burlington, Vt., where he was in charge of all facets of undergraduate and graduate enrollment.
Mortimer led Champlain College in a period of growth in which it rose in market position and became more accessible for under-served populations, Nazareth officials said.
“I and the entire Nazareth community are very excited that Ian will be joining the college and bringing his experience and many talents,” said Daan Braveman, Nazareth president.
Mortimer said he is looking forward to the position and joining Nazareth.
"Being a native of Rochester, I have known, and always admired, the role that Nazareth plays in transforming the lives of both traditional and adult students," he said. "However, it wasn't until I met with the faculty, staff and leadership that I became aware of just how many amazing opportunities are made available in all facets of the Nazareth experience. I am truly looking forward to joining Nazareth's inclusionary community."
