Roberts Communications Inc., which last month won the “Best of Show” award at the annual ADDY Awards in Rochester, has moved on to the national version of the competition in the marketing and advertising industry.
Roberts received both a gold and silver ADDY at the District 2 regional competition last weekend. The win earns Roberts the right to compete for a national ADDY award on June 8 in Phoenix, Ariz.
The marketing firm earned the regional gold ADDY in the Collateral Material category and the silver ADDY in the Integrated Campaign: Consumer Local group.
The agency received both awards for its work on behalf of Xerox Corp. creating posters for last year’s Xerox Rochester International Jazz Festival. Roberts beat out competition from New York City, Pennsylvania, Washington, D.C. and New Jersey.
“At the regional level, we’re competing against some of the best shops in the business,” said Bruce Kielar, executive vice president and chief creative officer at Roberts, in a statement. “It’s a true testament to the talent of our team and their dedication to our clients.”
