F.W. Webb division buys Fairport-based Systemation

A local distribution company has been acquired by a Massachusetts firm.

Systemation Inc., a Fairport -based provider of engineered sales and application solutions for the process control industry, now is part of Webb Kentrol/Sevco, a division of the F.W. Webb Co. Financial terms were not disclosed.
 
Systemation is a manufacturer’s representative and distributor serving the process industry in Upstate New York, providing measurement products and analyzers as well as integrated distributed control systems and PC based controllers and software.

Officials at Webb Kentrol/Sevco said the acquisition will allow customers access to Systemation’s sales and technical teams coupled with Webb Kentrol/Sevco’s offerings.
 
“Systemation’s knowledgeable team and complementary product lines will augment our instrumentation business in this region and offer significant benefits to the customers of both companies,” said Daryl Schoellkopf, Webb Kentrol/Sevco general manager, in a statement. “This new partnership supports our goal to deliver the very best products and services to customers in upstate New York.”
 
Founded in 1990, Systemation also has sales offices in the Albany and Buffalo areas. Systemation has five employees.
