The Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra Inc. has appointed six board members.

On Friday the orchestra named the slate, who will serve through the RPO’s annual meeting in January, when they will be up for election by the orchestra’s membership.

The new members are Lauren Dixon, Steven Feldon M.D., Michael Millard, Sandra Parker and Stephen Rosenfeld M.D.

James Boucher is returning to the board.

Suzanne Welch, the former chairman, will join the RPO’s honorary board.

“I’m so grateful to all of our new, current and former board members who devote their time, talents and personal resources for the benefit of this orchestra and this community,” said Charles Owens, RPO president and CEO. “Last year, our board and honorary board members demonstrated extraordinary leadership by contributing over $1 million to the RPO, which is more than 10 percent of our total annual budget.”
