590 closed near Blossom Road due to fatal accident

A tanker truck traveling westbound on Route 490 went over a bridge Monday afternoon, falling onto a truck traveling on Route 590 below, RBJ news partner WHEC-TV 10 reported.

One person is dead, another has been transported to Strong Memorial Hospital, Rural Metro officials said.

Route 590 near Blossom Road was closed in both directions midday; Route 490 was open. Brighton fire officials midday Monday said the area of 590 near Blossom Road would be closed in both directions for several hours.
