The Ravioli Shop to shut down retail business

Rochester Business Journal
May 23, 2013

The Ravioli Shop plans to shut down the retail end of its business this weekend.

The company announced its plans via its Facebook page last week, citing decreased sales as the reason. The last day of retail operations will be Saturday.

The Ravioli Shop will, however, be continuing its wholesale operations. Customers can still buy the shop’s ravioli and sauce at a dozen locations in the Rochester area.

William Kenny opened the Ravioli Shop on North Winton Road in late 2002. Kenny said, on Facebook,  the shop will be offering discounts on the remainder of its retail products such as salt, preserves, dried pasta, bread and sardines until the closing. The location in Perinton also is closing Saturday.
