Pike Co., Lecesse Construction announce merger

Rochester Business Journal

The Pike Co. Inc. and Lecesse Construction Services LLC announced Monday that they will merge. The Pike and Lecesse brands, as well as the entire workforces of both firms, will remain intact, the companies said.

Pike and Lecesse ranked second and third on the most recent Rochester Business Journal list of commercial builders.

The companies will operate separately, under their current names. All offices will remain open and operate as they do currently, the companies said. Pike has roughly 400 employees; Lecesse has more than 90 workers.

“I am thrilled about the opportunity to increase our project capabilities, open new markets and enable specialized knowledge sharing with the Pike Company,” said Andrew Hislop, president and CEO of Lecesse Construction Services, in a statement.

Rufus Judson, Pike’s president and chief operating officer, added the merger will add to his firm’s health care construction expertise and expand its geographic footprint into the Midwest and Southeast.
