Bonadio & Co. LLP plans to merge with Buffalo-area CPA firm Gaines Kriner Elliott LLP on Nov. 1, the Perinton-based company announced Thursday.

Bonadio, the largest accounting firm in the Rochester market, will add 88 GKE employees for a total of 130 in the Buffalo market, company officials said.

“This merger is great news for everyone involved because our combined firm will be able to provide more services for clients and offer greater growth opportunities for our people,” CEO and Managing Partner Thomas Bonadio said in a statement.

“We’ve found kindred spirits in our new GKE partners, and we know that we can learn a great deal from each other for the benefit of our clients everywhere. It’s going to be a great fit, and we can’t wait to get started together.”

For more information on the merger, see the Sept. 27 edition of the Rochester Business Journal.
