ESL working on its 20th branch

ESL Federal Credit Union plans to open a 20th branch, at Twelve Corners in Brighton, early next year.

Construction is under way at 1881 Monroe Ave., with the new full-service branch to be located in part of the former Rite Aid Corp. pharmacy building, officials announced Friday. The work is scheduled for completion by February.

The branch will offer personal banking, business banking and wealth management services, with four teller windows, a drive-up lane and an ATM in the foyer, officials said.

The new location will allow Rochester’s largest credit union to attract new customers and reduce congestion at nearby ESL branches, officials said.

ESL has assets of $4.5 billion, with 315,000 members worldwide. It employs 640.
