AMA/Rochester will host “Event Marketing: A Spectator Sport” on March 12. The event will showcase the work that goes into producing one of golf’s biggest events.

The event’s panel will include members of the 95th PGA Championship, Nadine Krimow, supervisor for the public relations of Dixon Schwabl Inc., and John Kucko, sports director for WROC-TV 8.

The 95th PGA Championship will take place at Oak Hill Country Club in August. Dixon Schwabl is the agency of record for the event.

At “Event Marketing: A Spectator Sport,” the panel will discuss what goes into creating a successful event that generates revenue, increases brand awareness and raises an organization’s profile in the community, organizers said.

The breakfast event begins at 7:30 a.m. at the Monroe Golf Club in Pittsford. Admission is $30 for American Marketing Association members and $45 for nonmembers. The registration deadline is Saturday. For more information, visit www.ama-rochester.org.
