Fibertech Networks LLC continues to increase its presence in Connecticut.

The Brighton-based company Friday announced the completion of a large expansion of its fiber infrastructure in the state. The company has completed construction on more than 850 miles of new fiber there, growing its overall fiber total to more than 3,500 miles.

Fibertech also recently opened a 4,200 square-foot regional office in Cheshire, Conn., that supports operations, sales and administrative duties in the state. The company also has an 850-square-foot training facility. It has more than 40 full-time employees in the state, Fibertech said.

“We’ve established Connecticut as our Eastern region headquarters given the significant investments we’ve made in employees, office space and growth of our network footprint,” said John Purcell, CEO and chairman, in a statement.
