Deena Kastor, a three-time Olympian and record holder in the marathon and half-marathon, will be making an appearance June 16 at Fleet Feet Sports Inc. and Yellow Jacket Racing & Fitness Inc. at the Culver Road Armory.

Kastor’s visit is sponsored by Asics America. She will attend a benefit luncheon at noon and a meet-and-greet from 2 to 5 p.m., lead an open group run at 5:30 p.m. and give a talk in the evening.

Kastor holds a record-holding 2:19:36 in the marathon and a 1:07:34 in the half-marathon. She was ranked the No. 1 in the world in the marathon in 2006. In 2004 at the Summer Olympics she took the bronze medal.  She has won the London and Chicago marathons.

“This is a thrill for the entire Rochester running community,” said Ellen Brenner-Boutillier, co-founder of Fleet Feet Sports Rochester and YellowJacket Racing with her husband, David Boutillier.
