Martino Flynn LLC recently received three Gold Awards for pro bono work supporting the Breast Cancer Coalition of Rochester and its annual ARTrageous Affair fundraising gala from the Cancer Awareness Advertising Awards Program.

The full-service advertising, digital media and public relations company’s collaboration with the Breast Cancer Coalition of Rochester helped to increase fundraising efforts by 20 percent in 2013 because of the creative campaign of the partnership, officials said.

“We are proud of our longstanding partnership and the role we can play in driving awareness and support of the Breast Cancer Coalition of Rochester,” said Kevin Flynn, Martino Flynn partner and Breast Cancer Coalition of Rochester advisory board member, in a statement. “Though we are competing for work more and more on a national level, we recognize that Rochester is where we live and do business, and supporting our local community is a cornerstone of Martino Flynn.”

The campaign featured a breast cancer survivor’s tattoo to cover the scars of her double mastectomy. The Pittsford-based agency won Gold Awards in three categories, special event, poster and invitation, for its concept, design and execution.

The Cancer Awareness Advertising Awards Program is focused on advertising’s role in supporting cancer awareness.

“For us, every month is breast cancer awareness month,” said Holly Anderson, Breast Cancer Coalition of Rochester executive director, in a statement. “Our partnership with Martino Flynn over the past seven years has been incredibly valuable. We couldn’t do what we are able to do without their support.”
