Oak Orchard Health names new CEO

Rochester Business Journal
November 22, 2013

Brockport’s Oak Orchard Community Health Center Inc.’s board of directors has hired a new president and chief executive.

James Cummings is slated to begin in the role in mid-December. He replaces Robert Hendershott, who has served as interim president and CEO since August 2012.

Oak Orchard Health’s longtime president and CEO David Fisher retired in 2012.

Cummings has served as an executive at Lakeside Health System Inc. since 2006, first as vice president of human resources, then senior vice president and finally interim CEO.

“It is my honor to have been selected to serve the community by leading Oak Orchard Health through this turbulent, yet exciting, time of transition in American health care,” Cummings said. “Oak Orchard has a 40-year history of providing affordable quality services to families and individuals who might not otherwise have access to care.”
