Hotel to become Country Inn & Suites By Carlson

Rochester Business Journal
November 14, 2013

The Holiday Inn Express on Monroe Avenue in Brighton will be rebranded as a Country Inn & Suites By Carlson, representatives announced this week.

The hotel is to open as a Country Inn & Suites in the first quarter, under the ownership and management of Top Deal Corp.

County Inn & Suites is an upper-midscale hotel in the Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group portfolio. The company is based in Minneapolis.

The Rochester hotel has been a Holiday Inn Express since 2001, and before that was the King James Motel.

“We are excited about this addition to our portfolio as we grow the brand in New York,” said Scott Meyer, a senior vice president at Carlson Rezidor, in a statement.
