Amerks honored for growth in group-ticket sales

The Rochester Americans received a Team Business Services award this week from the American Hockey League for leading the Western Conference in growth of group-ticket sales during the 2012-13 season.

The Team Business Services program honors one club from each conference for outstanding achievements in several categories, including ticket sales, community service and fan experience.

“The Amerks would like to thank the Rochester community for making this award possible,” said Robert Kopacz, vice president of business operations, in a statement released Thursday.

“We are grateful to have a tremendous fan base that has continuously supported the Amerks year after year.”
